MASAMUNE SEMINAR AND GOODWILL TAIKAI 7th - 8th JUNE 2008

Dear Friend of Masamune Dojo,
Please join us in South Birmingham for a weekend of Iaido and Jodo. We will enjoy an international inter-club Seminar on Saturday 7th June, featuring Jikiden and Shinden styles, designed to promote harmony and better understanding of the differences between the styles.

The following Sensei will be assisting with both the teaching at the Seminar and the judging for the Taikai:

MANSFIELD SENSEI NANADAN KYOSHI
BEAN SENSEI NANADAN RENSHI
GOODMAN SENSEI NANADAN RENSHI
WEST SENSEI NANADAN RENSHI

We also have the pleasure of MR NAKAGAWA SENSEI attending the weekend for a special demonstration and participation of Tamashigiri during Saturday afternoon 2 - 4.30 pm.
This seminar includes an embu demonstration and personal 1:1 instruction from Nakagawa Sensei. Each student will have the opportunity to cut a number makiwara targets made from proper Japanese tatami omote. Sensei may also bring some green bamboo which he did on a previous seminar, the cutting of which was most educational. A cutting sword will be available for those who do not posess a shinken suitable for Tameshigiri. Prior Tamashigiri experience is not required.
